Portable Oxygen Cylinder are much easier to set-up than oxygen cylinders.  You simply plug the unit into a standard electrical outlet and set the flow meter to your physician’s prescribed flow rate.  You can easily move from room to room with lightweight portable oxygen concentrators.

 

Nebulizer is a device used to administer medication to people in forms of a liquid mist to the airways. It is commonly used in treating cystic fibrosis, asthma, and other respiratory diseases.

 

Apnea Monitors For use at home following discharge from the hospital, an instrument that monitors continuously for events of apnea or bradycardia. If an event occurs, it is recorded in the monitor's memory, and an alarm sounds.

 

Ventilators may be defined as an automatic machine designed to mechanically move breatheable air into and out of the lungs, to provide respiration for a patient who is physically unable to breathe, or breathing insufficiently.

 

Phototherapy Blankets and Lights The use of light therapy to lower blood bilirubin levels. Infants are exposed to bright lights over hours or days. Phototherapy may be administered using a combination of halogen spot lights, blue fluorescent lights, or an illuminated fiberoptic mat (Biliblanket™, or Wallaby™) placed under the infant. Blood in the skin is exposed to the light, and the bilirubin is converted to a nontoxic form.
